To use the Google map APIi you will need an API key for your website from google. The Google map API service is completely free but the Microsft equivalent is not.
To start, select the service provider link in the Maps module and click on the link "Get a Google Maps API key for my site"
After generating a key at Google copy and paste it in your Map module. Also remeber to enter your location.
